A female home health attendant was accompanying her patient to infusion therapy. While traveling in an ambulette, the driver lost control of the vehicle and rear-ended a stopped tow truck. The attendant sustained multiple severe maxillofacial injuries that required the surgical insertion of a metal plate in her facial orbit.
